Useful links on naming in this post, keep reading
Monday, October 11th, 2004A few weeks ago, the complete staff of Genstart.dk flew across the Atlantic in an old and narrow Boeing 757. From 27D we watched the first fifteen minutes of Love Actually, then read the book Wordcraft about the – until 11:24pm EDT – little known naming industry. To us, at least. And to Niklas from Sweden. If you understand this chef, you’ll find his site interesting.
Anyway. Due to budget restrictions, we didn’t have in-flight net access (no special meals, extra leg room, personal DVD, either) – so once safe back on ground, we got together for a short staff meeting, then published a note.
So. Thanks to luck and Google, we got a short hi there from a reader.
Edited for brevity. Full text here.
Thanks. Response from people involved is the best (and only) pay we get. Except from the Google ads that paid for the book. We also got a hi there from the propeller hat-wearing Noogler recently. Hi right back, hope you’re enjoying your new job.
In other news: While we’re writing this, our desktop computer sounds like its breathing deeply. One staff member says it’s the harddrive, but it’s scaring us stiff.
